Regardless of his guilt or innocence, Japan is notorious for its unreasonable conviction rates.

In Japan it’s not even whether he is innocent or guilty, but wh at the police and prosecutors deem he done. If they deem him guilty, game over.

I need this guy to link up with John McAfee so they can get into wacky adventures together and Netflix can make a series about it.

Know nothing about Japan’s justice system, but often conviction rates are high because prosecutors only charge the cases they think they can win. That’s what prosecutors here do ... and who knows about the court system. Judges decide questions of law, juries decide questions of fact, but the system doesn’t always work.

John McAfee is on a much different level. He manages to get arrested in countries where rich people can get away with anything.

A conviction rate of  over 99% seems a bit bullshitty, even by US standards.

Watch this:

or this one:

Part of the problem is that they can hold and interrogate you for 23days, in that time they can make just about anyone confess to just about anything. They also do not have juries, your trial is in front of a panel of judges and there is no presumption of innocence.

See? They have so much to learn from each other . It’s the buddy road series we need.
